Night photography has the ability to take a scene and bathe it in an unusual light. It adds an element of mood and uniqueness that is absent in the daytime. Learn to capture the mood of a night scene and produce striking images with an experienced photographer. Manual SLR skills required.
This course will open the door to a whole new world for photography, where the reality of daylight is transformed from the mundane to something mysterious and unfamiliar. Explore the creative opportunities that nightlight offers on two photoshoots, discovering how the camera sees in darkness and learning ways to play with light.
The tutor will guide you how to use your camera to read what the eye cannot see, as well as how to translate a scene in different ways. The course will also provide the opportunity to observe the work of photographers who use creative techniques in low light, and to experiment yourself with some of them.
